In early April, 16 young people from JFV Seligenstadt took the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the apprenticeship and degree programs available at our company during an open house event.
After a brief introduction in which our training manager, Cindy Bjelobrk, presented Silikal, former trainees and students shared firsthand accounts of their career paths and areas of work.
Samantha Foti presented her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, which she successfully completed in February 2026. Since then, she has been supporting our German sales team in an office-based role. Niklas Schwerber presented his dual degree program in “Business Administration and International Management,” which he completed last year. Today, he is responsible for supporting and developing our customer relationships in Eastern Germany. Both career paths are primarily office-based but also require an understanding of the practical processes in production and the laboratory.
Toni Nguyen presented another training path: the training program to become a warehouse logistics specialist, which he completed with us in 2022. He currently works in the production office and is simultaneously continuing his education with his master’s degree in logistics—a great example of how the educational journey is far from over after completing an apprenticeship. In addition, Anes Alif Ardaneswari provided insights into the training program for paint laboratory technicians. Since graduating in 2024, she has been working in our laboratory on tasks including research and further development of our products.
The various job profiles became particularly clear during the subsequent tour, which included a visit to our laboratory. We were very pleased by the young people’s keen interest and numerous questions.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Tobias Hanak (Chairman of the JFV Seligenstadt) for helping organize the event, as well as to all the participants. Maybe we’ll see each other again soon!
