In the pandemic: Silikal and safety

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have been focusing all measures on the safety of our employees and adjusting them as new findings emerge. Based on the legal requirements and with additional impetus for our entire team, we have so far navigated the unusual pandemic situation well. Production was quickly switched from single-shift to two-shift operation, each with 7 hours, while remuneration remained unchanged. The teams do not meet during the interim phase and hand over tasks without contact. The employees in the administrative area usually work from home or in the office on a rotating basis and according to weekly schedules. The usual rules such as ventilation, compulsory masks, hand disinfection and social distancing apply in all office areas. We have provided our employees with FFP2 masks free of charge - in sufficient quantities so that they can also be used privately. And even before the introduction of mandatory testing, we were already using self-tests.

Our sales force works almost exclusively from home due to coronavirus regulations. Thanks to telephone and video calls, most customer inquiries and discussions can be handled comprehensively and effectively. Our sales representatives only visit customers on site in urgent cases. By the way: Instead of our popular Silikal product trainings, which have not been allowed to take place in person for over a year now, we are increasingly offering advice over the phone. Our application technology team will be happy to answer practical questions by phone or video call - directly and individually.
