From 2 to 4 September 2026, we will be exhibiting at Seafood Expo Asia in Singapo-re. The focus of our presentation at this trade fair for the fish industry will be our Silikal FishTank System. Developed specifically to meet the requirements of land-based aquaculture, it has now proven its worth time and again. The high-quality coating sys-tem, based on methyl methacrylate (MMA), lines the fish tanks. The system is robust and durable, consisting of a crack-bridging membrane and a smooth top coat with good abrasion resistance. A particularly practical feature is that the surface is extre-mely easy to clean. It offers good resistance to UV light and many chemicals, whilst also being exceptionally resistant to ageing and weathering.
The Silikal FishTank System can be installed on various substrates. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its short curing time also makes the Silikal FishTank System ideal for many projects, including new installations as well as extensions and renovations. Full mechanical and chemical resistance is achieved just one hour after the final coat has been applied.
This rapid installation also applies to Silikal’s MMA-based flooring systems: the floor coatings are characterised by their durability and ease of cleaning. They are resistant to many alkalis, salts, oils and fats. Another important factor for the fish industry is that Silikal’s MMA floor coverings are certified as suitable for food processing.
