Under the Australian sun and with heavy rainfall, the surfaces on buildings are exposed to particular challenges, such as the terraces and pathways on a 25-storey high-rise building in Melbourne's Central Business District. Just a few work steps, a few hours - and the new Silikal RU 325 Pigmented Silikal- were needed to transform the unsightly and, above all, leaking surfaces back into attractive, functional and clean surfaces.
First, the brittle and leaking Surfaces were pre-treated: The old defective Waterproofing Systems and soiling were removed so that SilikalPriming RU 380 could be applied to the entire surface. It cured after just one hour, after which the next work step followed. The ready-to-use, pre-filled Silikal RU 325 Pigmented Silikal is applied to the Priming in combination with the Silikal TEX fleece. Especially at material transitions, corners and upstands, the fleece reinforces the Waterproofing system for a secure seal. The RU 325 Pigmented waterproofing resin hardens within one hour. The fine gray on the floor is finished. And stays securely sealed! The specialist installers only needed 2 days for the entire renovation.
