The McDonald's restaurant in Rykkinn near Oslo in Norway, which opened at the end of June 2022, relies on a hygienic and resistant Silikal floor based on Methylmethacrylate. Francisco Rodriguez Mata from McDonald's says: "We first tested Silikal floors in our restaurant in Nedre Slottsgate in Oslo. The feedback from our employees was very positive. They were very pleased with how easy to clean these kitchen floors are. In addition, Silikal Nordvest was very flexible and adapted to our needs. This made the decision to use Silikal flooring in all our restaurants an easy one." For McDonald's, it is also important that the floors are easy and quick to install and repair, so that downtime is kept to a minimum - saving time and money.
Jon Vidar Wårum, CEO of Silikal Nordvest AS, is delighted with the collaboration with McDonald's and sees great benefits for his customer: "Our floors are installed within 48 hours and can be used immediately. In practice, they can be fully loaded just two hours after installation. This ensures that McDonald's restaurants can resume operations quickly. For us, it is also a great vote of confidence that McDonald's has decided to use only Silikal flooring in all new and modernized restaurants." Silikal Nordvest AS supplies large parts of southern and central Norway with Silikal floors.
